Choose IMAP if asked

If Outlook asks which kind of account to add, choose IMAP. This is the option to use for the email account we provided.

5

Show the extra boxes if needed

If Outlook cannot finish automatically, choose Advanced Setup if offered. Select IMAP, then turn on Show more to see the connection settings.

6

Fill in the incoming-mail boxes

In IMAP incoming server, enter fusion.mxrouting.net. Set Port to 993 and Secure connection type to SSL/TLS.

Make sure you can send and receive

Send a short email to another email account you can open. Open that account and reply. Check that the reply arrives in your new business inbox.

Helpful notes

Keep in mind

Do not use the Classic Outlook menus

The File → Advanced options procedure belongs to Classic Outlook. Use the guide that matches your application.

Microsoft cloud synchronization

New Outlook may request permission to synchronize your IMAP account through Microsoft’s cloud. If you prefer a different connection model, use Thunderbird or Apple Mail.

Your build looks different

New Outlook changes through rolling updates. If provider selection or server fields are missing, contact us with the app version and a screenshot that hides your password.
